FCSS Executive Director Chosen for Keizai Koho Fellowship

Congratulations to Dr. Theron “Terry” Trimble, Executive Director of the Florida Council for the Social Studies, on his selection to participate as a member of the Keizai Koho Fellowship Program.  Terry will travel to Japan from June 19-30, 2006 as part of this year’s contingent of educators from throughout the United States.
The Keizai Koho Center (Japan Institute for Social and Economic Affairs) has sponsored fellowships to Japan every summer since 1980 to help educators learn about contemporary Japanese society in order that they might enhance the teaching of global perspectives in U.S. and Canadian schools.
