FCSS was originally founded at Florida State University and in celebration, we are proud to present an excellent program for social studies educators in north Florida.  This regional drive-in conference is slated for Saturday, Feburary 3 in Tallahassee, Florida.

All areas in social studies content will be presented throughout the program sessions by representatives of Tallahassee Community College, Florida State University, teachers from various school districts, FCSS Board of Directors and museums.  Many publishers will be exhibiting as well as presenting their programs. Not-for-profit organizations will be offering information about various institutes and programs. Registration is $30 which includes breakfast and lunch as well as a raffle for several door prizes. Full-time student registration is available at a reduced rate of $15 (proof of full-time student status is required). Hotel arrangements have been made at the Holiday Inn East (850.385.3553) on Appalachee Parkway at a special rate of $84 per night.

The proposed audience is educators pre-K-post secondary from the panhandle and north Florida but the conference welcomes all. Mark you calendar and plan to attend this gathering of Social Studies educators from the state of Florida.

Check the FCSS website www.fcss.org to download a registration form.
