The FCSS Endowment Board has funded several projects in the fall of 2006. Endowment grants were awarded to the following people:

     1.  Barbara Cruz received funding for ten University of South Florida students to attend the   FCSS Conference in Miami in October.

2.       Sally Day received support for a social gathering of state legislators and teachers at the FCSS Drive In Conference on February 3 at Tallahassee Community College.

3.       Pamela Brown was able to create an India culture box as part of the development of a middle school unit of study for Monroe County.

4.       Marsha Shapiro funded a civics project called “Local Government in Action”, in conjunction with the city of Ormond Beach.

The Endowment Board would like to encourage educators with innovative ideas to apply for endowment grants.  Please see the FCSS website for further information on the criteria for application and for the application forms.
